Angioedema

Angioedema is characterized by sudden, deep swelling beneath the skin, often affecting areas like the eyes, lips, throat, hands, and feet. In severe cases, it can cause breathing difficulties if the throat is involved. The condition may be triggered by allergic reactions, certain medications (e.g., ACE inhibitors), infections, or physical factors like heat or cold.

While angioedema often occurs alongside hives, it primarily affects deeper layers of the skin. Chronic and hereditary forms of the condition may recur over time, requiring specific treatments.

At Snö Wellness, we provide personalized care to diagnose and manage angioedema, helping prevent future episodes and improve quality of life.
